The City of Cranbrook’s economic development program — Choose Cranbrook — has recently received national recognition, winning the 2025 Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) Award for Best Website.
The most recent national recognition follows the program’s earlier win at the provincial level, where it received the British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) Award for Marketing Innovation.
“These awards recognize the strength of our vision and the authenticity of the story we’re telling through Choose Cranbrook,” said Darren Brewer, the city’s economic development officer.
“These achievements belong to all of us.”
EDAC noted the website’s “engaging and professional presentation,” while BCEDA called it “A true example of what it takes to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact in Economic Development.”
The Choose Cranbrook campaign aims to highlight investment opportunities, local success stories, and the region’s innovative spirit through videos, a newcomer’s guide, and a data portal for investors and residents.
The site can be viewed at choosecranbrook.ca.
