
Interior Health says a COVID-19 outbreak at a long term care facility in Cranbrook has been declared over.
The outbreak at Cranbrook’s Joseph Creek Village was declared over on Friday, an outbreak at the care facility had been active since September 3.
IH says 15 cases and 2 deaths were linked to the outbreak.
Four outbreaks remain active at long term care facilities within the Interior Health Region in Kelowna, Kamloops and Penticton.

Outbreak declared over
• Interior Health has declared the outbreak over at Joseph Creek Village long-term care in Cranbrook. There were 15 cases: nine residents and six staff, with two deaths connected to the outbreak.

• Cottonwoods Care Centre long-term care in Kelowna has 65 cases: 50 residents and 15 staff, with 12 deaths connected to the outbreak.
• Overlander Long-Term Care in Kamloops has 28 cases: 21 residents and seven staff, with five deaths connected to the outbreak.
• Village by the Station long-term care in Penticton has 33 cases: 19 residents and 14 staff, with three deaths connected to the outbreak.
• Haven Hill Care Centre long-term care in Penticton has nine cases: seven residents and two staff, with one death connected to the outbreak.
