Lady Luck is shining on the Kootenays this month.
A Creston man is now taking a “long-awaited vacation” after winning $81,695 from the Lotto Max draw in early September.
Gregory Greene found out he matched seven of eight total numbers while relaxing at home on September 2.
“I thought, ‘this can’t be real!’” recalled Greene. “Surreal!”
He now plans to use the cash drop to take his wife on a holiday– possibly a cruise.
The winning ticket was bought at the Creston Pealow’s on Cook Street.
Greene is now the latest big-ticket winner from the region. A Canal Flats resident became an overnight millionaire after winning the Lotto 6/49 White Ball draw on Saturday, September 13.
