Bill Sanderman has been named the 2025 Electoral Area C Volunteer of the Year for his long-standing dedication to community safety and leadership in Moyie.
Sanderman led efforts to recruit and train volunteer firefighters, advocated for fleet expansion, and played a key role in the construction of a new firehall.
He also serves on the Moyie Shores Strata board, managing the community’s water system, and currently leads the Moyie Community Association.
“Bill has been a passionate champion for the safety, inclusion, and well-being of residents in Area C for many years,” said RDEK Area C Director Rob Gay.
The award was presented during the Area C town hall meeting held in Cranbrook.
