College of the Rockies has officially welcomed Michael Crowe as its new president and CEO, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the institution.
Crowe, who began his role on May 1, is known for his leadership and commitment to student success.
Previously Vice President Academic at Bow Valley College, he brings a wealth of experience in post-secondary education, including a record of boosting enrolment and expanding academic programs.
“This institution is deeply connected to the communities we serve,” said Crowe.
“I’m excited to work alongside students, faculty, and staff to build on this strong foundation and create new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
Crowe is no stranger to the region—he spent several field seasons in the East Kootenay earlier in his career and is eager to reconnect with the land and people.
College officials say Crowe’s appointment signals a strong future for the Cranbrook-based college, which has served the region for nearly 50 years.
