City of Cranbrook denies planned Jimsmith Lake Park homeless camp

The City of Cranbrook says, despite recent announcements, they are not planning a homeless camp at Jimsmith Lake Park.

The City confirmed this in a recent letter to the editor of e-KNOW after an article was published on Saturday, April 26, saying otherwise.

In the statement, the City of Cranbrook said they are “extremely disappointed that this type of blatant misinformation has been allowed to be published and shared online, which serves no purpose except to incite our residents and the public for absolutely no reason.”
