The Fernie Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents to its Annual General Meeting, happening April 22 at the Fernie Golf Club.
The event is a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members, enjoy a hot breakfast, and hear about the Chamber’s milestones and upcoming opportunities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jared Basil, Ktunaxa Cultural Framework Educator, as our keynote speaker. A dedicated advocate for Indigenous cultural awareness and economic development, Jared works to foster inclusive spaces and stronger partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities,” the Chamber says in a release.
“He will share insights on the Ktunaxa Nation, highlight Indigenous-led business success stories, and explore the role of economic development in building a more resilient and connected community.”
Meantime, Board Chair Antony McElwee and Executive Director Wendy McDougall will present the annual report, offering insights into the Chamberās progress over the past year and outlining long-term strategic priorities aimed at fostering growth and sustainability in Fernie.
Tickets are $30 for members, and $35 for non-members; they are availableĀ here. Seating is limited.
