The BC Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly collision on Highway 3/93 east of the Key City that occurred late Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 6 p.m., police say a Pontiac Vibe was struck head-on by a white 2015 Dodge pickup truck trying to pass a semi-trailer.
The 62-year-old Pontiac driver, identified as a woman from Wardner, died on scene, while the driver of the Dodge and passenger were both taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours while investigators remained on scene.
Witnesses or anyone with dash cam video of the collision, or the Dodge truck’s behaviour leading up the crash, is asked to contact the Highway Patrol office in Cranbrook at 250-420-4244.
