Next year’s July Fest in Kimberley is in doubt after an apparent Facebook posting Friday by the Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce.
In a statement, the chamber is saying it’s pausing its involvement in the event for at least a year, the decision, it said, made thoughtfully for its long-term sustainability and success.
The organization adding its primary mission is to advocate for, support, and promote local business and while they recognize the importance of July Fest, it believes it needs to focus on initiatives that more directly benefit local businesses and non-profits.
The annual event includes a bocce tournament, music festival, and parade.
