The Association of Interior Realtors has released its July figures for real estate sales.
It comes, however, with mixed results.
Last month, there were 1,351 residential sales, up slightly from June’s 1,330 across the Southern Interior and Northeast.
Residential listings, meantime, were also up by over four percent when compared to July 2023 with 2,843 new listings last month.
Here in the Kootenays, though, the opposite with a 5.2 percent drop in sales activity in July versus the same month in 2023.
What should come as no surprise, benchmark prices on homes rose in July, averaging just over $600,000 for a single-family home.
Townhomes were $517,000 and change, and condos came in at just over 336 grand.
