The investigation into a blaze that destroyed two homes in Cranbrook’s Park Royal neighbourhood is now complete.
Fire Chief Scott Driver says the fire, at a house in the 1900-block of Mount Nelson Drive, is not suspicious in nature.
Just where it might have started though, couldn’t be determined.
While extremely unfortunate, the Chief adds there can be a ‘take away’ from an event like this…
Smoke from the July 8th fire could be seen from as far away as Cranbrook’s downtown.
The City’s fire department calling on every available resource, including the BC Wildfire Service, who were able to fly overhead to help water down trees in the neighbourhood.
