The City of Cranbrook needed to use almost all of its resources Monday afternoon after fire broke out in a large home in the city’s Park Royal neighbourhood.
The blaze in the 1900-block of Mount Nelson Crescent North spread quickly through the structure, with embers dropping onto a roof of a neighbouring home below on Mount Connell Crescent setting it, too, on fire.
In a release, the City said there no were injuries.
Thankfully, there was no wind, at the time, that could have fanned the flames to other homes nearby.
An investigation into the cause is now underway.
Non-residents, unless visiting, are asked to avoid the area.
