A 32-year-old man from Elkford is facing a charge of impaired driving and possibly more repercussions after his truck ended up in the Elk River north of town Sunday night.
The individual told police he was driving his brand new 2024 Ford F150 when it left the highway.
With an odour of alcohol, RCMP carried out two separate breath samples – both resulting in FAIL results.
The man was given an Immediate Roadside Suspension.
His pick-up, towed from the river, has now been impounded for 30 days.
