Several housing projects got the stamp of approval from Kimberley Council at their meeting last week.
Development permits were approved for 41 new residential homes in the Forest Crowne area and a duplex complex on Fernie Street including 17 dwellings.
Approval was also given for additions to a 39 unit apartment building on Jim Ogilvie Way, with the building given approval for development at a previous meeting.
Last week’s meeting approved variances for the apartment building, including a detached bicycle storage building and a waste/recycling enclosure.
The projects will increase available housing in the community by around 100 units when they are completed.
