Cooling centres open in East Kootenay communities as heat wave continues

Several local facilities are advising residents to put them to use and get out of the heat.

Cooling centres are being established as the heat wave throughout the region continues.

Both the Cranbrook Public Library and Western Financial Place are available for residents to get out of the sun and cool down.

The Kimberley Public Library is available as a cooling centre in the platzl, offering an air conditioned space and free wi-fi.

In Invermere, the Columbia Valley Centre is open for residents to cool down, with air conditioning and plenty of room for work, study, reading and playing games.
