
Fire crews responded to a wildfire south of Baynes Lake over the weekend.
The BC Wildfire Service says the fire is estimated at just over four hectares, with firefighters from Jaffray, Baynes Lake and Elko initially responding to the fire Saturday near the community of Kragmont.
Provincial wildfire crews took over the response to the fire late Saturday night, with the blaze currently listed as being held.
The wildfire is believed to have been caused by lightning.
Plenty of smoke was visible from the area of the blaze over the weekend.
