National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations are happening in the East Kootenay this week.
On Tuesday, a celebration of Indigenous cultures at Cranbrook’s Rotary Park with the Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child & Family Service Society and Rocky Mountain Métis Association is on from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Tobacco Plains Indian Band is hosting a walk at the Roosville Border at 10:00 a.m. and there’s a celebration with the Shuswap Band at James Chabot Park in Invermere from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
