An online fundraiser created following a fatal crash on Highway 3 last week is seeing tremendous community support.
The GoFundMe campaign was made to support Matt Johnson and his family, following the deaths of Courtney Johnson and his eight-year-old daughters Taylor and Hailey on Thursday, June 1.
That fundraiser met its goal of $10,000 within hours of being established and as of this writing has raised over $50,000.
Johnson is thankful for the overwhelming contributions received from the community, saying he did not anticipate this level of support.
He plans to pay it forward and create a legacy fund with the excess donations in Taylor and Hailey’s name to give back to the community in times of need.
