
Cranbrook RCMP is currently investigating an assault that occurred Monday morning.
Police began the investigation after being made aware a woman was approached by an unknown man and assaulted in the area of the disc golf course in the Community Forest.
Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of 24th Avenue North between 9:00 am and 11:00 am is asked to contact the detachment.
Police are also looking for any dash cam footage of this incident that might be available.
RCMP say there is no risk to the public at this time, but suggests residents be mindful of their surroundings.

The Cranbrook RCMP is currently investigating after receiving a report of a stranger assault.
Early Monday morning, Cranbrook RCMP entered into an investigation after being made aware that a female was approached by an unknown man and assaulted.
The incident occurred in the area of the disc golf course in the community forest between 9:30 and 10:30a.m.
“We are asking anyone who might be in the possession of dash cameras and who may have been in the vicinity of 24th Avenue North, up behind the spray park and on toward College Way between 9:00 and 11:00a.m. to contact us in order to possibly assist in our investigation,” says Cst Katie Forgeron.
“At this time, we do not feel there is a risk to the public, however if you are in the area we suggest being mindful of your surroundings,” adds Forgeron.
