Amplify East Kootenay is shining a spotlight on local businesses for 2023.
Today, we look at Top Crop Garden Farm and Pet in Cranbrook.

Top Crop Garden Farm and Pet offers the region’s largest selection of premium-quality pet foods, along with the largest gardening centre in the Kootenays.
The gardening store is locally owned and believes in supporting the community, both by employing a large staff and helping local initiatives and causes.
Owner Shannon Fisher says the garden centre has been helping the community grow for over 25 years.
“We’re going to be involved again with local farming groups and local pet rescues and gardening groups,” Fisher says. “I think its going to be very important here that people are growing food with the cost of food and the cost of inflation. I think its important that we’re all getting back to our roots and kind of keeping it local.”
Fisher says Top Crop is happy to support farmers, gardeners and community groups during emergencies or in their time of need.
“We’re pretty community oriented, whether its rescue groups for animals or kids groups or 4-H or garden clubs,” Fisher says. “That’s been a big thing for us, we believe in giving it back to a community that supports us.”
