A candidate in Invermere’s upcoming District Council byelection hopes to be a voice for the community at municipal hall.
Grey Bradastch is one of five candidates vying for a seat on district council, he owns the Artym Gallery and has lived in Invermere since 2002.
“Being in a town of 3,400 people means I recognize many people, a walk down the street always has an interesting conversation or two along the way, and it’s comfortable,” Bradastch says. “In addition, Invermere also has many amenities. We’ve got the hospital, great doctors, schools including a College of the Rockies campus.”
He says Invermere’s small town vibe and people make it a great place to live.
“I’m very passionate about Invermere, it’s my home and I want to see it continue to grow in a positive, sustainable way,” says Bradastch. “I’ve got decades of experience of a business man, and great people skills, very active in the community and I’m not afraid to take on challenges and put my leadership skills to use.”
He says affordable housing and infrastructure upgrades in the community needs attention, as well as boosting internet connectivity, availability for electric vehicle charging and setting guidelines for short term rentals.
The byelection is happening March 4.
