British Columbians can now book campsites operated by BC Parks up to four months in advance.
The change comes into effect this morning and was made for the 2023 camping season
The booking window for the season has been doubled from the previous year’s two-month window.
BC Environment Minister George Heyman said the government heard public feedback that the majority of campers prefer a four-month rolling window, allowing people to book a site well in advance of their visit.
2022 was a busy year for campsites across the province, with more than 317,000 reservations made through the BC Parks reservation service.
