A temporary overnight warming centre is available in Cranbrook to help those who are at risk of exposure to cold temperatures.
The First Baptist Church has confirmed they have shifted their shelter operations to the Alliance Church on Kootenay Street North, the shelter is available from 7:00 pm to 9:00 am Wednesday and Thursday.
It will remain open through Friday for those who need it.

The warming centre opened at First Baptist Church on 14th Avenue South Tuesday night will be shutting its doors, after not getting any users.
Instead, First Baptist is shifting its support behind a warming centre opened at the Alliance Church on Kootenay Street North Tuesday night as well.
The Alliance Church centre is open again tonight from 7pm through until 9am on Thursday. The warming centre will be open and available for those who may need it through until Friday night.
There are also options to escape the cold during the daytime hours, the Cranbrook Public Library is open until 8:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday, while the concourse at Western Financial Place is available until 9:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday.
The Kimberley Public Library has also opened its doors to anybody who needs to escape the cold during the daytime, its available until 5:00 pm Wednesday.
