Drivers heading west through the Kootenay Pass are being warned of another storm coming through the region.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 3 from the Kootenay Pass to Paulson Summit.
Forecasters say a Pacific frontal system is expected to bring heavy snow all along Highway 3, with up to 15 centimetres of snow expected today.
This will be followed by a winter storm expected to move into the region Saturday night.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly, resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Drivers are advised to adjust your speed to match the conditions and give plenty of time to stop on slippery roads.
