Royal Canadian Legion Branch #71 donates $5,000 to Columbia Valley SAR

Columbia Valley Search and Rescue received a major donation from the Royal Canadian Legion.

The local SAR team shared the donation on social media this week, saying Branch #71 of the Windermere District gave the local society $5.000.

The donation is in support of the Columbia Valley SAR’s first annual fundraising campaign, in an effort to replace aging equipment.

The goal of this year’s campaign is to replace two 4×4 trucks and to purchase an ATV.
