Columbia Valley SAR purchases new snow machines with help from community

New funding for the Columbia Valley Search and Rescue has the local rescue team more geared up for winter rescues.

The local SAR posted on social media that they purchased new snow machines with the help of community grants from various groups.

The Columbia Valley Search and Rescue is thanking the Columbia Valley Community Foundation, Our Children’s Legacy Fund and the District of Invermere for their support.

Organizers say they are grateful to have new machines for winter backcountry missions.
