Highway 1 Closure east of Golden begins again, will remain closed until December 1

Drivers using Highway 1 will once again face detours.

The highway will be closed east of Golden at Noon today and remain closed until December 1.

Through traffic will be diverted using Highway 93 South in Kootenay National Park and Highway 95 between Radium and Golden.

The highway will have a brief opening east of Golden over the Thanksgiving weekend, with highway access permitted from Noon October 7 to Noon October 11.
