Spraying of invasive and noxious weeds ongoing in Fernie area

Efforts to deal with invasive and noxious weeds in the Fernie area will be ongoing over the coming weeks.

The City of Fernie says they have a contractor spraying the weeds in identified priority areas in the community.

City staff say they are committed to ensuring public places and safe and sustainable for long-term use and enjoyment and significant investments are protected.

Signage will be in place in priority areas 48 hours in advance, warning people of the pesticide use.
