
A major investment by the BC Government will help reduce community wildfire risk in the Creston area.
The Forest Enhancement Society of BC is investing 25 million dollars into 22 new community projects to reduce wildfire risk, enhance wildlife habitat and support ecological resiliency in the Kootenay-Boundary region.
The Creston Valley Forest Corporation is getting $1.24 million through the announcement.
The goal of their project is to develop plans and treat areas within community watersheds in and around Creston.
