The City of Kimberley is continuing to honour the legacy of a community-minded local by naming its annual service award after him.
The Jack Ratcliffe Commitment to Community Award celebrates individuals and groups who have contributed significant time and energy to the community.
Ratcliffe received the first award in 2020 after dedicating decades of service to Kimberley.
He passed away in December 2025.
“Jack was the embodiment of community spirit,” said Mayor Don McCormick. “His decades of service, generosity, and leadership touched every corner of Kimberley. With Jack’s passing this past fall, this award takes on added significance this year.”
The City is now taking nominations for the community award.
Nominees can be Kimberley residents of all ages, but must have at least three years of dedicated commitment to the community through volunteerism, leadership and service.
Nomination forms will be accepted online through the City’s website until February 2nd.
