A major watermain break on Staple Crescent late Thursday night (Nov. 13) is leaving many Cranbrook residents with low water pressure — or no water at all — this morning.
City crews were on-site overnight and say repairs may take all day to complete.
Crews had to throttle down water pressure overnight to prevent property damage, which they say is contributing to the service issues.
Both Kootenay Orchards School and the Gold Creek campus of the College of the Rockies are currently without water.
The City says the break is not connected to the scheduled screen cleaning at the Phillips Reservoir, which is set to begin Monday night (Nov. 17) at 8.
Officials apologize for the disruption and say they’re working to restore service as quickly as possible.
