Cranbrook residents in the Wildstone and Shadow Mountain areas will have to go without water for a day next week.
On Wednesday (Oct. 29), from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., crews will be installing new water connections to two properties in the area, requiring the Wildstone Drive water main to be shut down.
Affected residents are encouraged to keep enough water supplies for drinking, cleaning and flushing throughout the day.

Once work is complete, residents are asked to run cold water taps for 15 minutes or longer until the water is clear.
“The City of Cranbrook and NXTLVL Consulting and Excavation Ltd. asks for patience and understanding as this important work is completed,” said the City in a release. “Please keep clear of the project site to allow both City and contractor staff and equipment to work safely.”
Those directly impacted will receive an information notice from the contractor on Friday, October 24.
