The intersection of 4th Street South and 15th Avenue South in Cranbrook will be closed starting Monday, Sept. 15, to allow for the replacement of the St. Mary’s sanitary sewer, according to the City of Cranbrook.
A section of Rotary Way will also be closed for the remainder of construction as crews work along 4th Street South.
The intersection at 15th Avenue South is expected to remain closed for more than two weeks.
Detours will be available through 14th Avenue South and 16th Avenue South.
Local traffic will still be able to access 15th Avenue South, though brief interruptions are expected.
The work is being completed by Gally Equipment Services Ltd., which will have signage and traffic control in place throughout the area.
The City is asking the public to avoid the construction zone if possible, and to slow down, follow signage, and give crews room to work.
