Cranbrook RCMP were kept busy this past weekend, responding to 69 calls for service between Friday evening (Aug. 22) and late Sunday night (Aug. 24).
The calls ranged from abandoned 911 calls and well-being checks to traffic complaints, assaults, frauds, thefts, and motor vehicle accidents.
Officers also dealt with suspicious persons and vehicles, disturbances, and breaches of conditions.
Several incidents stood out.
A single-vehicle rollover sent five people to hospital, including three children.
The children escaped with only minor scrapes and bruises, while the driver suffered more serious injuries.
Police say the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Officers also reportedly broke up a fight involving multiple people at a restaurant, investigated a road-rage assault that led to charges, and responded to the theft of three bicycles taken from vehicles in a hotel parking lot.
In addition, police arrested three people who were held for bail hearings, and detained another individual overnight for public intoxication.
RCMP say members balanced investigations with patrols throughout the weekend.
