Residents in Cranbrookâs 700 block of Innes Avenue South reported a heavy police presence on Tuesday (Aug. 5) as RCMP carried out a search warrant at a home in the neighbourhood.
The operation on August 5 involved the Cranbrook RCMP General Investigation along side General Duty officers and other specialized units.
Police say the large response was intended to reduce any potential risk to public safety while the warrant was followed through.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted during the operation, and officers are thanking residents for their patience and cooperation.
No further details about the nature of the investigation have been released, and RCMP say the warrant was carried out without issues.
