The Cranbrook Public Library will mark its 100th anniversary next month with a public event celebrating a century of reading.
The event will take place Friday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 100 years after the library first opened in 1925.
Organizers say the event will feature historical displays showcasing the library’s past, including photos of previous locations, staff, volunteers and patrons.
Activities will also be available for all ages, along with a limited number of gold library cards created to mark the 100 years.
The library has served as a public service in Cranbrook for a century, offering access to information, programs and services for the local community.
The anniversary event is open to the public.
