Marsden Street and the Marsden Street Bridge will close to vehicle traffic starting Monday, June 16, as the City begins work on the Marsden Street Active Transportation Project.
The upgrades include a new sidewalk between Rotary Drive and Warren Avenue, realignment of the Marsden–Montgomery intersection, and stormwater system improvements.
Detours will be in place via Archibald and Black Bear bridges.
Pedestrian access will mostly remain open, though brief closures may occur.
Access to the skatepark and Kimberley Fellowship Baptist Church will be maintained.
The project is expected to take several months.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow posted signs and detours.
