B.C. gaming authorities are betting on East Kootenay with its new PROLINE Sportsbook Lounge in Cranbrook.
Casino of the Rockies is opening the BCLC’s latest sports betting hub this weekend– the first of its kind in the region. The lounge features an 18-foot screen that can display six games at once, as well as three dedicated betting terminals to place pre-game and live bets, including single bets and parlays.
“It was a strategic decision to make that the first,” said Matt Lee with BCLC Media Relations. “We really believe it’s going to add to the excitement that the Casino of the Rockies already brings to the region.”
The grand opening coincides with the 2025 RBC Canadian Open, the biggest golf tournament in Canada this year. Guests are invited to watch the game on the big screen and take a shot at winning more than $10,000 in prizes.
“Not only is it the go-to spot for gambling, dining and entertainment in the area, it’s also located on a beautiful golf property at St. Eugene,” Lee added. “We imagine there are going to be some players who golf 18 holes on a sunny afternoon, and they get to relax and unwind after at the lounge. I think that that’s going to create an amazing gaming experience for everybody.”
Anyone interested in attending the event can head to the lounge from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.
