Kimberley is looking to cut back on water use starting this weekend, June 1.
In a news release, the City stated that water demand has been increasing due to a growing community and increasingly hotter summers.
“Kimberley’s drinking water comes from two pristine mountain sources—Mark Creek and Matthew Creek,” wrote the City. “These watersheds provide us with clean, high-quality water that we’re proud of—but they are not unlimited.”
Under Stage 2 water restrictions, residents are asked to water between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m., then 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Water use is not allowed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Even-numbered homes can only water on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while odd-numbered homes can water on Thursdays and Sundays.

Cranbrook has implemented Stage 1 water restrictions in May.
