The City of Kimberley has now mailed out property tax notices to all relevant residents and businesses on record.
If you’re looking to pay in person, City Hall will be open during regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., but residents may need to worry about their parking situation.
“With construction around City Hall and no parking available directly in front, we recommend paying online through your bank or financial institution [or] visiting your bank branch,” wrote the City of Kimberley in a social media post on Thursday, May 15.
As with Cranbrook, homeowners can no longer apply for this year’s grants at City Hall and instead must visit online through www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant, by phone at 1-888-355-2700, or at a local Service BC office.
The deadline for both tax payments and Homeowner Grants is July 2, with 10 per cent penalties applied to unpaid balances or unclaimed amounts after the due date.
