Street sweepers are moving on to a new part of Cranbrook today, May 1.
Crews were cleaning up Zone 1 West back in mid-April, but they will now be working in Zone 3, from Victoria Avenue to 34th Avenue South, between 2nd Street North and 11th Street South. The work is expected to take place over the next few weeks.
“Public Works puts a lot of effort each spring to remove much of the debris on City roads left behind from its winter maintenance efforts, through the annual street sweeping operations,” wrote the City in a release.
“As the street sweeping program rolls out this year, we will provide up-to-date information about which areas of the City our team is currently working in and encourage residents in those areas to park off street wherever possible to ensure the best clean up possible.”
Street sweeping operations will continue through spring, summer and fall. More information is available through the City’s website.
