Tanya Nadeau, 2025 Water Ambassador / City of Cranbrook
Key City’s annual water education campaign begins this week, asking residents to “Be an H20 Hero”.
The Water Conservation Program has become especially vital after water-related challenges over the past two summers. Tanya Nadeau is set to return to her role as the Water Ambassador in the summer of 2025.
“I am fortunate to be able to spend a second season with the City of Cranbrook as the Water Ambassador,” said Nadeau. “This experience increased my knowledge about our fresh and potable water and why it is such a precious resource.
“Overall, I was able to understand residents’ perspectives on water, ways to conserve it– and spent time exploring water with the youth.”

The Water Ambassador helps residents understand outdoor water conservation while still making the most of it during the summer months. The City added in a release on Thursday, May 1, that conservation helps reduce the infrastructure costs needed to supply and treat local water.
You can share your thoughts on a public survey online or at City Hall until Friday, May 23.
