Four firefighters quickly put out a reported tent fire on the edge of City limits.
According to a social media post, one fire engine and a bush truck arrived on scene just after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23. Crews were able to contain the fire to a localized area on private land adjacent to Moir Park, preventing further damage.
“There were no injuries as a result of the fire,” says Scott Driver, fire chief of the Cranbrook Fire Department. “Due to the extent of the localized damage, the cause and origin of the fire was unable to be determined.”
The Cranbrook Fire Department thanks the public for reporting the fire immediately. The early intervention ensured an efficient response to the scene and prevented any injuries, property damage, or wildfire.
