With the City of Cranbrook unable to mail out its year-end utility bills because of the Canada Post strike, it’s extending the deadline to pay, by two weeks.
Director of Finance Charlotte Osborne explained the thought process following last night’s City Council meeting…
Regardless of whether the postal strike comes to an end or not, property owners will now be responsible to make their payment by January 15 either in person or online.
Close to 6,000 utility bills are part of the current rollout.
