The Conservative Party of BC made its first significant splash in the region over the weekend, recruiting former BC United candidate Scott McInnis as its nominee for the riding of Columbia River-Revelstoke.
The former educator and Kimberley resident took to Facebook Live Monday evening, spending close to 20 minutes explaining his decision to accept the nomination.
In the end, however, McInnis said everything he heard, in conversations with leader John Rustad, led to his decision…
The current slate of candidates has McInnis being challenged in the riding by the NDP’s Andrea Dunlop and Calvin Beauchesne of the BC Greens.
