The Regional District of East Kootenay has lifted the Evacuation Order for six properties in the Whiteswan Lake area.
The order put in place on July 25th included the Home Basin and Inlet Creek campgrounds.
Recent rains have helped to keep the fire in check.
This doesn’t mean, however, that everything is back to normal.
Area restrictions for backcountry users, set up by the BC wildfire service remain.
That includes Lussier Hot Springs, Whiteswan Lake, Alces Lake, and Top of the World Provincial Park.
