With Canada Day a little over a week away, the District of Sparwood announced its plans to celebrate the country’s birthday.
It’s holding a four-hour event beginning at Noon at the Leisure Centre.
The day includes a free barbecue put on by the District, live music from Kylie Rogers & Friends, as well as Tony & Chris.
Face painting, bocce, and axe throwing also make up the schedule.
The Singing of O Canada and handing out of cupcakes is set for 1 PM.
More details are in the Recreation Newsletter section of the District’s webpage: www.sparwood.ca.
