If you thought you heard more sirens and saw more emergency vehicles on the roads of Cranbrook in the first three months of this year, you’d be right.
Figures from a report Monday to City Council show a rise in the number of calls, when compared to the same period last year, 604, in fact, up by exactly 90 from the first quarter in 2023.
There were 116 fire and/or rescue-related calls, including seven structure fires.
Of note, were 72 calls classified as overdose related.
