Columbia Valley RCMP are reminding you to be wary of scams involving phoney delivery packages.
Police responded to two instances last week involving scams where the victim received a text message stating their packages had not been delivered due to an outstanding delivery charge.
The message prompts the victim to click a link for FedEx or Canada Post and instructs them to enter their banking information to pay for the charge, allowing scammers access to their funds to defraud them of money.
RCMP remind you to not click on any links if you get these messages, and contact the company through their phone number from their official website.
