Cranbrook RCMP are seeking assistance to identify a suspect who gained access to a business over the weekend.
Police say it happened early January 13th at the 1500-block of Cranbrook Street North, a suspect gained entry to a business and attempted to steal a safe.
RCMP say the suspect was able to remove the safe but could not load it into their vehicle, the vehicle is described as a blue SUV.

The Cranbrook RCMP is seeking the publics assistance in identifying a suspect.
Early on the morning of January 13th, Cranbrook RCMP was called to a business in the 1500-block of Cranbrook St N. An unknown suspect had gained entry to the business and attempted to steal a safe.
“The suspect was able to remove the safe from the building but was unable to get it into his vehicle. We are asking anyone who might be able to identify either the vehicle or the person to notify RCMP”, says Cst Katie Forgeron.
The vehicle is described as a blue SUV.
Anyone who might have information with regard to this incident is asked to contact the local office at 250-489-3471.
